A comprehensive guide to WolfPack Athletics

Find out about every team and home game Wolfpack athletics has to offer this season.

Whether you’re new to TRU or a returning student, this is a guide to all of the WolfPack athletics that the school has to offer. With a wide range of varsity and club sports, there are penalty of opportunities for students to get involved and cheer on the WolfPack.

“ I know we have basketball, now we have hockey, volleyball, but I’ve only ever watched the soccer games.” First-year Navia Sturm said when asked if she knew what sports teams TRU had.

TRU WolfPack athletics is home to both varsity and club sports, which include: Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Volleyball, Baseball, Cheerleading, Curling, and the latest addition of Men’s and Women’s hockey teams.

While some teams do play games off campus, such as hockey and baseball, the majority of WolfPack athletics call the TCC and Hillside Stadium home, which are just steps away from their own campus.

Another first-year student, Isla Coxon, who attended the women’s soccer home opener, described why she went to the game. “It’s something fun to do after school… why not go?” she said.

The Varsity teams all play in the Canada West conference of U SPORTS, which is the national sport governing body for universities in Canada. While Curling falls under the U SPORTS umbrella, they are a tournament team. This means they don’t play in the same weekly schedule as the varsity sports; the team trains locally and only competes in major weekend championship events. The Baseball team competes in the Canadian College Baseball Conference (CCBC), a premier collegiate baseball league in Western Canada. Both the hockey teams play in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL).

Heres a look at the WolfPack teams that you can cheer on, along with where and when you can catch their home games.

Soccer

Soccer season starts in August and runs until mid-November. Both men’s and women’s teams play their home games at Hillside Stadium. The Men’s team previously won the U SPORTS National Championship in 2022, which is the only championship TRU has won yet. Both teams are off to strong starts in their 2026 seasons.

Their schedule is not yet released and will likely come out in Late January or early February.
