Spring and summer athletic events

Want to know what sporting events are planned for Kamloops this Spring and Summer? We have an article for that

While the winter sports wrap up for the summer, there are still many athletic events to catch across town. From WolfPack and North Paws baseball to the Dragon Boat Festival, there are so many events you won’t want to miss this summer in the ‘Loops. The Omega has collected the main events across town and compiled them into a handy list for an at-a-glance view.

April

In April, when the weather starts to warm up in Kamloops, the baseball season starts. WolfPack baseball is in full swing in April after kicking their season off in late March. After April 1, the ‘Pack will host six home games, all on McArthur Island at Norbrock Stadium, in the remainder of the month. Additionally, Kamloops’ “largest celebration of movement,” Boogie the Bridge, will take place on April 26. Boogie is Kamloops’ largest community walk/run event, featuring distances from 1km to a half-marathon and attracts participants of all ages and fitness levels. The event is held annually and starts at Riverside Park, where participants then “boogie” across the Overlanders Bridge. It combines fitness, live entertainment, and fundraising to create a fun, high-energy “celebration of movement.”
