New Announcements

Project Windless

A new intellectual property (IP) was revealed: Project Windless, a dark fantasy open-world action role-playing game (RPG) based on the Korean novel series The Bird That Drinks Tears. Developed by Krafton Montreal Studio, the game takes place over 1,000 years before the events of the novel. It allows players to take control of Rekon, a powerful humanoid bird warrior with incredible physical strength, speed and size.

Project Windless is described as having a darker, stranger and far more tragic setting than the traditional Western fantasy, promising a lived-in world with many races, cultures, and complex histories to experience. The game is designed as a massive open-world, with chaotic battles, and thorough exploration, as players can discover hidden stories, form alliances, engage in war and choose their own path free of ‘hand-holding.’ Project Windless is in development for the base PlayStation 5 and Pro models; however, no release date or final title has been revealed.

John Wick

One of the biggest reveals was the announcement of a new AAA John Wick game, a high-budget, blockbuster-level game. The yet-to-be-titled product is in development by Saber Interactive, in close collaboration with Chad Stakhelski (the director and executive producer of the original John Wick films). In addition to Stakhelski’s involvement, it was revealed that Keanu Reeves will reprise his role for the game, as he lends his voice and likeness for the ultimate ‘Baba Yaga’ experience. Players will experience a completely new chapter in a new immersive medium, with features like “gun-fu,” a hybrid combat system that blends hand-to-hand fighting with gunplay. John Wick will feature a neo-noir, immersive environment that adopts the franchise’s distinctive aesthetic. No release date or official title has been revealed at this time.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer

A new integration into the ever-expanding galaxy, far, far away, was announced, offering a new take on racing within the Star Wars universe. Star Wars: Galactic Racer features illegal racing across many planets in the Outer Rim, with completely new characters, vehicles and race circuits. The game features a variety of vehicles, including landspeeders, bikes, skim speeders, and podracers. But wait, it gets better: players can customize each vehicle with different classes and physics tailored to different playstyles. This is a full experience, featuring a single-player, story-driven campaign and an online mode for playing with friends and earning rewards. Star Wars: Galactic Racer is revealed to be coming later this year to PS5, Xbox and PC (Steam and Epic Games).

God of War: Greek Trilogy Remake and God of War: Sons of Sparta

Santa Monica Studios closed the broadcast with a much-anticipated reveal and a little surprise for die-hard fans of the God of War (GoW) franchise.

With the incredible success of the latest GoW titles, coined as the ‘Norse saga,’ Santa Monica Studios seemingly knew the time was right to remake (or remaster) the original ‘Greek saga’ era for current platforms. This new iteration includes God of War and its two original sequels, all completely rebuilt from the ground up with modern graphics, lighting, updated character models and improved gameplay inspired by the modern games. In addition, Sony announced that TC Carson, the voice actor behind Kratos in the ‘Greek saga,’ would return for the remakes, which do not have a release date yet.
