One Piece: Into the Grand Line (March 10) (Netflix) (TV Show, Action & Adventure) (100 per cent fresh – Rotten Tomatoes)
As one of the biggest ongoing manga and anime shows, One Piece has been translated into a new medium for casual fans. Back in 2023, Netflix released season one of the adaptation to rave reviews. Featuring breathtaking visuals, effects and make-up, with stories that respected the source material while translating to live action, the first season was a delight.
For those unaware, One Piece is an original manga (a comic book-style series originating in Japan) that follows a crew known as the Straw Hats, a group of pirates led by Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), a young man with extraordinary abilities who embarks on a quest to become the King of the Pirates. The crew also consists of navigation expert, Nami (Emily Rudd), master swordsman and pirate hunter, Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu Arata), butt-kicking chef Sanji (Taz Sinclair) and sharpshooter, Usopp (Jacob Romero). Season one was, by and large, an origin story introducing audiences to the crew and some of their most well-known adversaries.
Following the events of the first season, season two of the series sends the Straw Hats on their most dangerous voyage yet, with their compasses pointing directly to the most dangerous sea in the world, the Grand Line, home to the legendary One Piece, a mysterious treasure that only the true King of the Pirates may find.
However, the quest isn’t as easy as they think. In the background, a villainous organization full of powerful assassins, known as Baroque Works, seeks to disrupt the crew’s plans.
One Piece adapts one of the most successful manga series in history by Eiichiro Oda, which has sold over 500 million copies worldwide. The first season became one of Netflix’s biggest hits and helped prove that live-action anime adaptations can work.
So, grab your popcorn and set sail with the Straw Hats for their next legendary adventure.
Zootopia 2 (March 11) (Disney +) (Movie, Comedy, Animation) (91 per cent fresh – Rotten Tomatoes)
The well-deserved sequel is finally here as Zootopia 2 is available online for all Disney+ subscription owners to enjoy in full HD.
Disney’s beloved original left fans wanting more, introducing lovable anthropomorphic animals in their own organized society with a buddy-cop aspect. Winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, Zootopia (2016) was one of Disney’s biggest animated successes.
The film follows Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin), a bunny and a fresh rookie cop who stumbles into a conspiracy within the deepest corners of the city. Finding herself out of her element, Hopps recruits Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), a fox and cynical con artist.
Before coming to streaming services, Zootopia 2 became one of Disney’s highest-grossing animated theatrical releases. The sequel dives back into the hectic city of Zootopia, now pushing our protagonists even further, exploring yet another conspiracy theory of the very creation of the animal metropolis.
Invincible Season 4 (March 18) (TV Show, Action, Animation) (99 per cent fresh – Rotten Tomatoes)
One of Amazon’s most successful shows is back with Invincible season four, increasing tensions and showcasing even more epic fights.
Invincible is based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Robert Kirkman (creator of The Walking Dead), and follows Mark Grayson/Invincible (Steven Yeun), whose life changes when he finally develops superpowers inherited from his father, the world’s most powerful hero, Omni-Man (J.K Simmons). With every mission, Grayson realizes that the superhero world isn’t as black and white as his comic books have always portrayed it to be.
Now, in season four, the journey continues as Grayson faces the consequences of his previous fights while new threats appear on the horizon. Soon, Grayson is forced to confront the responsibilities that come with his powers in an increasingly complex world. Invincible has become an iconic Amazon show, widely praised for its storytelling and intense action sequences.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (March 20) (Movie, Crime, Drama, History) (93 per cent fresh – Rotten Tomatoes)
Tommy Shelby is back, and even bigger than ever. Netflix’s biggest limited series returns to finish the infamous gangster’s story on his terms.
Netflix’s limited series Peaky Blinders brought gangsters back to the forefront in pop culture, introducing a realistic, dramatic reimagination of the English gangsters. The original show follows the Shelby crime family in Birmingham, England, post World War I. The family business is led by the ambitious yet calculating Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), supported by his brothers. As the story progresses and the gang expands their power, Shelby balances rival gangs, political enemies and his own demons as he works to build his criminal empire.
The show amassed a massive following, and managed to score a British Academy Film Awards for Best Drama Series back in 2018. Netflix’s new film is set several years after the finale, following Shelby once again as he returns during World War II to confront a Nazi plot that threatens Britain. This serves as the full conclusion to the Peaky Blinders story, which ran from 2013 to 2022.
For new and old fans, Netflix’s conclusion to the Shelby story is sure to make you grip your seat through the political and historical tension.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 (March 24) (TV Show, Action, Drama) (87 per cent fresh – Rotten Tomatoes)
The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is back! The revival show is back for season two, just one year after its 2025 debut.
Based on the Netflix series, Born Again follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a catholic lawyer who, by day, fights the good fight in the courtroom while adopting a vigilante alter-ego, Daredevil, to fight crime on the streets at night. When Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of crime (played by Vincent D’Onofrio), is elected mayor of New York City, Daredevil is forced to take action.
The revival re-establishes the original show’s characters within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after Murdoch and Fisk’s respective appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye. Season one reintroduced Matt Murdock, now as a successful lawyer, leaving his nighttime escapades behind after a traumatic experience leaves him both mentally and physically broken. Now trying to rebuild his life, his nemesis, Fisk, returns to the city and, following a successful campaign, is elected mayor. Fisk’s first order is to ban and outlaw all types of hero work that, unbeknownst to the citizens of the city, threaten his illegal enterprises.
This season, Daredevil must fight and take back his city piece by piece with the help of old hero friends like Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter). The Netflix series was strongly praised for its cinematography, lighting, acting and virtually perfect casting. The revival aimed to recreate that success, this time with a higher budget and a more comic-accurate reinterpretation of the titular character within the ever-growing MCU.
