What do you get when you combine a group of talented athletes, an obstacle course and a raucous university crowd one day before the official start of the ski season?
An exciting outdoor exhibition that the whole family can enjoy.
On Friday, Nov. 17, TRU will play host to a brand-new event for the university called Rail Riot.
Organized by students in the Tourism Management program, this event will see unassuming guard rails and other ‘urban surfaces’ transformed into a thrilling obstacle course for a captivating invitational showcase.
According to a press release from the student organizers, participants will use “[…] rails and concrete for their drops and rides rather than mountain terrain.”
You do not want to miss this action. Admission to the event will be free, so be sure to grab your jackets, hats and gloves and come down to TRU to witness the action for yourself.
Rail Riot, presented by Powerade, kicks off at 5 p.m. on Nov. 17, in front of the old library.
